This blog dates from 29 April 2008 to 23 February 2009. Then, the campaign name was FiT Roads. FiT stood for filter-in-turn – the sociable, efficient interaction you get when traffic lights are out – and the name also meant to imply that under the anti-social priority system, roads are unfit for people. So roads free of divisive, vexatious rules, and given inclusive street design and culture change that levelled the playing-field and equalised the status between different road-users, were Roads FiT for People.
